After finishing one of the routes where MC's hair is burnt (Burry's Route), I feel sad but I don't know why but.. Mc kinda looks like Thorfinn from Vinland saga🤨
Do i need to finish all the routes first to unlock more stuff like cgs and all that nsfw? Cause I’ve only done rune and all i got from him was his masturbation.
Finally finished the game! The experience was unexpectedly great! I'd give it a 4/5. The cutest character is definitely Alon! Among the three routes, I feel the Rune route was the best crafted. The storyline for Rune is exceptionally well done, starting with the tragic scene of Rune's childhood, which instantly drew me in. The flashback during the fight with the "monster," where Rune recalls his father's words... was just so powerful.
The Max route, on the other hand, perfectly complements the overall plot. For instance, right after finishing Rune's route, I thought... although it was amazing, maybe the story’s setting was a bit too romanticized? Shelter is now free and becomes a sort of Eden? But after playing Max's route, I realized that wasn’t the case at all. Rune is a competent hero who carefully balances everything in the chaos.
However, I do have some small complaints... about Max's route. I was initially drawn to the game for Max, but in the end, his route seemed more about unraveling the story. Even though it's the longest route, Max himself doesn’t dominate most of it. He remained a bit too calm throughout, and his growth and changes were more seen from a third-person perspective, with very little direct expression from the character himself. Could this be related to Max’s personality? Acri’s existence was completely erased, with all of Acri's past automatically transferred to Max, and he was the only one aware of everything. Then he quietly bore the weight of it all, taking over Acri's role in the shelter and carrying the burden of a tragic history. He even ended up comforting Luke, who had forgotten everything. His rare outbursts were just a few complaints in the afternoon. There seemed to be too few descriptions of how he viewed and came to terms with all of this.
Another thing is the relationship between Acri and Max. There were too few perspectives from Max’s point of view. I understand Acri’s thoughts throughout the entire story very well, but Max’s thoughts... yes, they were written, but compared to Acri’s development in the same route, it felt like there was less focus on Max.
And then there's Shagbark... It seems like they don't appear in the other routes or during the daytime, right? Are they... usually staying in the shelter as well? Or did Max summon them back urgently after the disaster struck? If they were usually in the shelter, why didn’t we see them during the day? This is a big contrast with the other route NPCs...His views are so similar to Teak’s; if he had been there, maybe he could have guided Teak? Based on the daytime descriptions, I initially thought the person who attacked Max and Acri before was Teak. But it turned out to be Shagbark, which felt like it came out of nowhere...
Damn, I think I just realized something while writing this! Could it be that Shagbark is the result of history “correcting itself” after Teak “disappeared”?! Teak vanished, so Shagbark appeared?!Even though Luke allowed Max to retain his memories of Acri, he didn’t preserve the memories related to Teak. Everything was replaced by Shagbark. And the final event with the cable wasn’t transferred to Shagbark because of Alon’s knife—Alon and his belongings have the ability to escape history’s corrections. Is that what happened?!
I agree completely agree about there not being enough Max in the Max route, though maybe that's the point? He was mostly just emotionless except with frustration due to his conditioning, but they could have expanded more after that! We get nothing more than "Luke taught them to sing, a year later he's the poster pup of the shelter." I hope we one day will get a slice-of-life spinoff where the relationships can be more flushed out.
First of all, the writing is brilliant and the story is epic!
I noticed this fnv in 2020. The sprites were exquisite, however the resemblance of characters to real dogs were uncomfortable to me and caused I missed this great project.
I finished the Burry line last night. EPIC, it’s definitely EPIC. The last FNV I loved so much was Adastra by Echo Project. The author's writing is very humorous and I can sense from it that the author must be a very interesting person. (mainly because of Alon who brings me so much fun ; ) God! I like interacting with him after I reached endings)
The Burry line is impressive. The excellent character background story has so much depth and makes this big dog so real. You know, the world is complex; the people are complex. For some love simulation novel, the characters are nice, friendly, kind to players and lack depths. I’m not complaining about it because it isn't a problem instead I also enjoy it, but it's a pity. The story about the past of Burry is so good. The portrayal of burry's thoughts is so realistic and moving (thanks to the EPIC writing). The Burry is not just “a kind person”; he is “a complete person”.
I don’t want to say it again that the writing is so good and the plot twist makes me so emotional. My second favorite part is plot branches, which make this project more interactive. I like to try every branch. Although this paragraph is short, I really like it and appreciate the author for the efforts; few FNVs have plot differentials.
As is mentioned above, this project is interactive. In addition to branches, the outstanding music and dynamic effect make it more interactive and immersive.
The sprites are good. For new players, the characters’ resemblance to real dogs may be a barrier but definitely not a problem. The author has solid art skills and I really liked the monster designs in the novel. The author create so many interesting expressions for characters that I can feel the author’s love to them.
Anyway…I'm done with my emotional output. A little tired. Finally, appreciate rausmutt and your team for the great piece you guys have brought to me!
This game has some BRILLIANT writing, congratulations Raus!!
At first I was hesitant to give it a try because of the characters sprites, the resemblance to real dogs made they uncanny and uncomfortable to look at. Despite this, after some more time looking for VNs I decided to give it a try, and I was blown right away. The introduction to this game is SO good, it will get you hooked and excited.
The writing has so much charisma that I completely got over the characters sprites and started to actually like them. The way the pieces are laid through the story is perfect, each piece comes at their own time, naturally setting a comfortable pace in the writing and making the important bits pass unannounced, making big reveals more impactful, because the signals were there but you just didn't notice. It makes the game always entertaining to read, it makes you curious to understand some actions and statements, excited over interactions that are happening or may happen ahead, it makes you connect to the main characters sharing his feelings.
There so much more praise Id like to give and even more that this game deserves, but Im not that good with words yet, still I'd like to appreciate all the effort that went into this piece and thank Raus for giving us this fantastic novel.
Damn it? What happened after Luke abandoned the place and went home? What happened afterwards to everyone in Shelter? With Rune, Alon from Basket Corner told us information of what happens afterwards.
Question, when the good ending for Skies Ablaze comes out, what will happen next? I mean, are we going to experience what would be "normal" days at Shelter, explore, see more places, play more minigames, interact more with all the dogs in a non-fatal situation or festive event, unlock more things and functions of Shelter, etc.
I really enjoyed time spent with Copper even if it short amount of time we get to know him, best dog in my mind the coolest and kindest (latter Burry then Rune, Max just a friend)
This plot twist was so good that even though I didn't fully understand it I was shooketh to the core. Wish I could go on Twitter to see the new art that's gonna come but unfortunately Elon Musk's dumbass powerplay got it banned here in Brazil. Anywoo, can't wait for the next update!
It is somewhere near the top left corner. Increase brightness and click randomly there if you still can't find it. Also note he appears only after the loud sound is heard.

The last place i would expect to find steven universe references, but i got a good laugh out of them all the same!

Still more to come 🐶
Esta novela estará en español

I'm really liking Shelter but how did Alon know I put 6969 as the code XD?
He will react exactly the same if you put 1234 as a code)
OH MY GOD, i just got the "shelter" pun. I'm so stupid.
...wait, does Alon get mad at "pinkie swear" because it has "pink" in it?
Question, when the good ending for Skies Ablaze comes out, what will happen next? I would love more slice of life content, even if it's just a spinoff.
"Fourth howl" showing up has me feeling the most pumped and excited for a story to date. Thank you for all the work you've put into this project!
Hi guys, does anyone know where you can download music and ambient music from the game to your phone?
I have a question ❓
So the paw print logo shows 2 blank spots, does that mean there's still 2 more routes to go ?
The invite link to The discord doesent work
I really enjoyed time spent with Copper even if it short amount of time we get to know him, best dog in my mind the coolest and kindest (latter Burry then Rune, Max just a friend)
Dont forget about Alon, that pinky cutie
Specialy at the barkest corner
I look at Alon as a rival, draw a thin line especially when he talk about Copper
Poor best boi Alon, 10/10 very scary and not at all adorable. Would hug, but in a terrified way, rest assured.

Oh my DOG I CAN’T BELIEVE I DIDN’T NOTICE THAT! Even though the pieces to it are ALL THERE, HE HAD TO SAY IT FOR ME TO NOTICE. DOGDAMNIT.
